Our stage manager and lighting techs/designers work closely with our professional Sound Engineer to ensure that each Wisconsin Singers show is a seamless performance.

Stage Management
Organize behind-the-scenes during performances and manage equipment and props
Facilitate proper microphone usage and operation for instrumentalists and singers
Requirements
Stage management experience (preferred)
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to new environments
Enjoy working with a full production team and creating, building, and fixing things
Lighting Tech
Design a lighting plot for a rock concert mixed with Broadway-style revue
Adapt lighting design to a variety of different venues
Facilitate on site focus, setup of moving lights/par cans, and program theater light board
Requirements
Prior experience with hang and focus of theatrical lighting
Light board programming (preferred)
Strong work ethic and ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment
Sound Tech
Work with a state-of-the-art 48 channel digital sound board and monitoring system and multiple wireless microphones
Gain experience in some of the nicest theaters across the Midwest
Requirements
Experience with live amplified sound required, preferably in a musical theater environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment
Patient temperament and calm demeanor when problem solving on the fly
Timeline
May: Interviews for following season
Mid-July: Weekend of training and rehearsal with the troupe
Last two weeks in August: Production camp where you mount the new show
Fall semester: Sunday rehearsals through early November. Perform 3-5 shows, including On campus shows in Madison
Spring semester: Tour and run the show in different communities throughout the Midwest (Spring Break tour is on us!). Tour and travel expenses are covered by Wisconsin Singers.
