Why give to the University of Wisconsin Singers?
For 44 years, Wisconsin Singers students have selflessly shared their exceptional musical talents with passion and purpose. While maintaining full time academic schedules and adhering to the professional code of conduct required by the Singers program, these students take their family-friendly revue show on the road to nearly 40 communities throughout the United States.
But the Singers are about more than just performing, members learn lessons in responsibility, leadership, teamwork, commitment, passion, and professionalism. They serve as Ambassadors of the University and represent the best of the UW Experience.
Unfortunately, the Wisconsin Singers no longer receive funding from the University, which means that this non-profit organization must raise $55,000 by December 31, 2011 to keep this proud tradition alive for another year. Not only will your donation help ensure the future of this irreplaceable UW experience, it will allow deserving students the opportunity of a UW education.
What can I do with my gift?
Gifts to the Singers are usually designated toward the General Operations fund. This fund is managed by the Singers' Business Office and used to meet day-to-day expenses and fund program priorities. However, some donors prefer to designate their gifts towards certain needs. Our current partial list of needs includes:

Are their other ways to support the Singers?
For many individuals, Planned Gifts are a way for donors to remember the Singers in their estate and make a larger gift than they might have thought possible. A planned gift may be as simple as remembering the Singers in your will (see Sample Bequest Language) or it may mean working with your financial advisor** to investigate other possibilities. (see Gift Chart) Whatever your decision, planned gifts are a great way to make a lasting commitment to the future of the Wisconsin Singers and ensure their long-term success.
** The Wisconsin Singers do not offer tax or legal advice.
