The Wisconsin Singers 45th anniversary show, Can't Stop Us Now!, features powerful vocals, professional choreography, sensational instrumentals and clever humor from UW-Madison's most talented students. The troupe's Broadway-caliber performances entertain more than 50,000 annually and represent the UW as Official Ambassadors of Goodwill.
From the playfulness of youth in "Nicest Kids in Town" to familiar chart toppers like "Summer Nights" and "Cowboy Casanova" Can't Stop Us Now! promises to entertain every generation with a variety of American popular music of the past forty years. If you like top 40, you'll enjoy hits by heavyweights like the Jackson 5, Frank Sinatra, Lady Gaga and Gloria Estefan. If you prefer rock n' roll or jazz, the renowned Wisconsin Singers band will treat you to hits by the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and even Boots Randolph. You'll laugh out loud at our Tom Jones in "It's Not Unusual" and young and old alike will enjoy a guest appearance by Kermit, Miss Piggy and Oscar the Grouch singing "Life's a Happy Song" from The Muppets. Badger fans won't want to miss the Singers' rendition of the Fifth Quarter where audiences sing Varsity, dance to "Tequila" and "jump around" to "Teach me how to Bucky."
