Robin inspires the talent and professionalism of the Wisconsin Singers with her dynamic teaching style, broad musical background and passion for music. A UW-Madison and Wisconsin Singers alumnus, Robin has worked with all age levels in a variety of professional and public school positions and has served as the Artistic Director of Madison's Children's Choir. As a member of the UW School of Music teaching staff, she has conducted the UW Women's Choir and teaches voice lessons, specializing in vocal techniques for pop and musical theater performers. Robin is the creative mind behind the Singers' show concepts and travels throughout Canada and the United States as a guest clinician for choral groups and festivals. Robin is the proud mother of Patrick, Katie, and Megan and recently married former Wisconsin Singer, Chris Novotny.
Chad Schiro Choreographer
Chad L. Schiro brings a wealth of talent to the Singers with credits as associate choreographer for the Broadway productions of Urban Cowboy The Musical (2003 Tony Nomination, Best Choreography), Master Harold and the Boys, and Encores' revival of Can-Can at City Center, starring Patti Lupone. He also choreographed American Mouth The Musical for the 2003 Fringe Festival and most recently John Picardi's Seven Rabbit's on a Pole Off-Broadway at Urban Stages. His dance credits include the recent revival of Mame at the Kennedy Center, Urban Cowboy The Musical, the first national tours of Saturday Night Fever and Victor/Victoria, The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, episodes of Saturday Night Live and Sex and the City, and several national commercials. Chad came to the Singers three years ago as an associate choreographer and is now in his second season as primary choreographer for the program.
Angie C. Canuel Associate Choreographer
Originally from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, Angie just completed 4 years working on Broadway in The Producers where she covered nine female roles. She also appeared in the movie of The Producers. Angie is a graduate of the AADA and has served on the faculty, teaching movement to actors. She is also co-founder and Artistic Director of the Working Artist Theatre Project and sits proudly on the board of Help Is On the Way Today.
Jenna (Zanton) Mood Orchestration / Arranger
A 2005 graduate from UW-Madison, Jenna spent her time studying trombone performance, music education, theory and history. Jenna was in the Wisconsin Singers from 1999-2005 where she played trombone and directed the renowned Singers band as assistant music director. She honed her outstanding arranging skills by working on a variety of show concepts with the Singers, eventually leading to a position as orchestrator and vocal arranger. After graduation, Jenna started her own music arranging business, Triple Forte Arrangements, where she works closely with directors to develop show concepts, arrange creative and artistic music, and assemble clinician work for choirs, bands, and show choirs across the nation. Currently, Jenna is the instrumental director for the Madison East Show Band and plays trombone in various professional bands, shows and musicals. The Singers are proud to claim Jenna as one of its most talented alumni staff members.
Diana Balsa Costume Designer
Diana Balsa is the president and creative mind behind Coffield and Company. She attended a European Tailoring Academy where she received a degree as a Master Tailor. After apprenticing in Indianapolis, Indiana, Diana and her husband Raul established their own business more than 13 years ago which soon focused on custom services for those in the performing arts. Diana's strong background in music and knowledge of theatre and dance is the backbone of Coffield's national reputation as one of the most outstanding costume companies in the US.
