Why Alyssa Chose her Major: "I think it's super interesting how science information is relayed to the general public. With social media booming and being a large part of where people get their news, it's important to look at the tactics being used to relay that information. Ultimately I would like to go into marketing on public health/women's health issues and topics."
Favorite Things: Cheesecake, taking pictures (I love looking back at them later and remembering all the memories), wearing FUZZY SOCKS in the winter, corny jokes, cooking with fresh ingredients, footie pajamas, my guilty pleasure -- country music
Dislikes: " Centipedes. Especially when they show up in my bed right before I'm about to sleep - Milk (but love everything else dairy) - Sweet frosting (I'm more of a whipped frosting kinda girl) - People who don't clean up after themselves - Cold weather"
Favorite Place In Alyssa's Home-State: " The woods where my dad goes deer hunting up north. My whole childhood I'd go up north deer hunting with him, so it's just a very special place that brings back a lot of good memories. Specifically I love sitting in the woods and being surrounded by the north"
Favorite Place on Campus: Memorial Terrace
One Word That Describes Alyssa's Personality: Bubbly
Favorite Color: Light Blue
When Alyssa was a kid, she wanted to be a: teacher, architect, interior designer, marine biologist, chef, cupcake baker (not all at the same time)
Favorite Music Groups/Acts: Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, Celine Dion, Dear Evan Hansen
If Alyssa had a free night to do whatever she wanted, she would: "Go to the terrace with friends and listen to some live music. Nothing beats laughing the night away with friends, with some good vibes in the background."
Hero/Heroine: "My mom. She's been there for me through every up and down, and has always been my biggest supporter. She's my best friend, and I don't know what I'd do without her."
Goals as a Wisconsin Singer: "To continue to grow as a musician and performer, build my relationships with my fellow Singers and community members we interact with. But most importantly to inspire younger students to follow their musical passions and believe that anything in their life is possible."
