Join the Wisconsin Singers business team to get hands-on opportunities working with a non-profit entertainment business. Your work helps to maintain the international reputation and profitability of a 56-year tradition at UW Madison.

  • Receive scholarship dollars while obtaining real-world business experience

  • Work with others to market and manage touring entertainment events

  • Help raise dollars for music and service organizations

  • Network with professionals in the field

  • Work with a team of fun, energized students who love what they do in a fast-paced professional atmosphere

Public Relations and Marketing

  • Work with local and statewide media, identify target audiences and develop marketing plans, and manage advertising budgets for various entertainment events

Social Media Marketing

  • Establish and maintain a fun and inviting online presence for this energetic performance group

  • Create copy, images, and videos to create promotional and engaging material across social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok

  • Analyze metrics and adjust content appropriately

Project Managers

  • Coordinate and facilitate volunteer responsibilities for charitable entertainment events

  • Develop and manage revenue-producing budgets for performance events

  • Facilitate day-of-show events, including Wisconsin Singers' on campus show events and promotions

Graphic Designers

  • Build your portfolio with a variety of projects that give you hands-on experience creating promotional materials for Broadway-caliber entertainment events both on campus and nationwide.

Timeline

  • April: Interviews for following season

  • Late Summer: Attend Production Camp with the troupe to learn more about your internship role and begin individual projects

  • Fall semester: Work with the intern team to make strategic plans and implement ideas for bringing audiences to our On Campus premiere in November. Start to work on deliverables for the program and our touring shows.

  • Spring semester: The Wisconsin Singers goes on tour! Use your skills to make each show a success.
